Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Spittal Brook
Proper community pub, now well below the A34 road level since the former level crossing was replaced by a bridge. Main bar at the front and the restaurant further back; both modernised, but still retaining a traditional feel. Boltmaker, Tribute and a decent pint of Butty Bach available from three of the four handpumps.

What a wonderful pub.Well kept selection of real ales,on my visit Harviestoun's Bitter and Twisted guesting and top quality and the Everards Tiger was spot on.The pub grub is wholesome, tasty and good value .This is a real community boozer with a friendly welcome for strangers and is a hive of activity even at lunchtime. There is an informal library of popular books ,and lots of conversation with no extraneous noise.Great beer garden .A real hub of the local community, this is what all small pubs should be aiming for.The good people of Stafford are very lucky to have this gem.

A friendly and lived in local boozer offering food and decent ale. As other reviewers have noted the pub has two rooms, the bar at the front, which is sparsely furnished with wooden floors, and a more comfortable lounge at the back.
5 regular beers: London Pride, Tiger, Pedigree, Tribute and Black Sheep and 1 guest, Otter's Otter Bright on our visit. We tried a respectable pint of Tiger but didn't feel that there was enough of interest to tempt us into more. Maybe the Spittal Brook should look at that as the 5 regular beers are all widely available and there's plenty of local beer choice in Staffordshire alone.
A dependable and friendly boozer serving quality ale which could perhaps easily tweak it's ale range to offer more of interest. I'll always pop in for at least one if in the area.
