Recently refurbished, this pub has not exactly changed for the better. With its former tap room and dining area partitioned set-up...its now a full dining space set-up. Which is one of the good points, though there aren't many. The food quality is now fairly poor, where it used to be a damn good pub meal for a good price. Now its a basic, somewhat limited menu and very overpriced. The carveries are only available Sundays and are overpriced. The choice of beers is far too limited, with only a few bitters/draughts on offer, save for the usual Fosters, Carlsberg types and the like. There is no longer a games area, only 2 fruit machines in place. The staff are inefficent in their service and are prone to getting orders wrong. The place isn't really worth visiting, a waste of your time and money. Oh yes, and they recently drove a lot of valued customers away to other locals, by ID'ing regulars and refusing to serve. Not exactly great for their track record as a modern pub restaurant.
