A good looking neighbourhood pub which is less impressive inside than out. There are several rooms, as described by Alan below, with the bar accessilke both from the main room on the left and from the corridor. Three hand pumps, but they were all as naked as the day they were born. This was soon explained as a fault with the cooling system which has now been fixed, and they expected to have real ale on the next day. The licensee was keen to talk to me about the beer - perhaps she thought I was one of those people that review pubs! - and told me that the Bradfield beers always sell well, and that she's thinking of having a real-cider-in-a-box attached to the third hand pump. In the absence of any real ale I had a half of John Smiths Smooth Crap, which as Alan would have said, lived up to its name.

The Longcar Inn is a largish looking pub that is to the South of the town centre.
Once inside a corridor leads to an opened out area to the front right which has a pool table in it,the bar area to the rear has comfy bench seating and chairs,this area has a tiled floor,there is an oblong shaped room to the front left which is carpeted and has comfy bench seating and chairs,there were TVs showing vintage music videos.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Ossett Yorkshire Blonde,which went down very well,the other beer was Bradfield Belgium Blue.
The pub was quite busy on my late Saturday afternoon visit and also nice and warm.
I quite took to this pub.
