A good sized well supported pub that had a really community vibe to it. The interior consisted of a good sized central bar area, bench seating along the front of entrance, a side carpeted lounge area with a feature wall displaying the pub's name and collection of vinyl records surrounding it. The back room hosted a pool table.
Seven handpumps serving Rowton Brewery Wrekin No.1, Area 51 and Ironbridge Gold. The three guest beers Were Mallinson's Cascade, AM:PM Session IPA and Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby, plus one cider Sussex Cider Sea Cider.

Taken over in late 2021 by Rowton Brewery , it is the third pub in their portfolio along with the excellent Pheasant just down the road and The Fighting Cocks in Oakengates .
It has had a bit of a re-furb in a similar style to the Pheasant , very busy on a Saturday afternoon with many people watching the England v Wales Egg Chasers on TV.
Six ales on with four from Rowton , Milky Way , Area 51 , Old Wrekin no 1 and a decent Ironbridge Gold .
Along with the Pheasant this makes a decent double in Wellington .

Set away a few minutes walk from the main shopping centre, this is a traditional local boozer built as part of the nearby estate in the 1950’s that despite being opened-out retains a good character and it’s easy to see where old areas divided. Nice original stained and leaded windows remain. Pool and darts noted, as well as dog-friendliness. Seven pumps with 3x Salopian, GK Abbot and 2x Three Tuns. My Three Tuns Clerics Cure was poor, unfortunately. Rolls were available for £1.50. I’d give this one another go as I liked it as a pub – shame about my beer really. (visited June)
