Like most reviewers, I found the inside a disappointment compared to the fine looking exterior. The single room has two different parts. The left side has a lower beamed ceiling, fitted carpet and tables set out evenly in "classroom" style.
The larger right side has a higher ceiling, bare floorboards, a couple of tables by the wall and a large open space leading to the bar along the back wall (suitable for "vertical" drinking on busy weekends!).

A really good looking pub from the outside but its too dark inside to see much, especially the low beams. Has some interesting old stuff on the walls which, if you take a torch, you can read. 3 cask ales were on.
