A former 18th century farmhouse in un-rendered brick. The interior has three rooms. We entered into a small bar area in white and wood panel with a dominating grandfather clock. To the left was a larger dining area with fireplace feature, while there is a snug at the back, also in white and wood, which was dominated by a kitchen range (and had a dart board). Bench seating is prevalent, as are old photos and such. No TV or music. Service was good and the clientele locals. Three Ales: Wye Valley HPA, Enville Ale and a very good Three Tuns XXX. An excellent experience for an uncaring miserable man like me.

Visited this 2018 Good Beer Guide pub while on a coach tour of Shropshire pubs and it was the last one, so a bit crowded, but we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere with the locals. Beers from local breweries like Enville, Wye Valley Hobsons and Three Tuns. We enjoyed the Three Tuns XXX .

Classic country pub - slap bang in the middle of nowhere. In the 2018 Good Beer Guide.

Former farmhouse, still with original rooms in tact. Front bar area with a delighful room to the side full of wooden furniture (as used in Morse, according to the labels), with what I can only describe as an elderly aga. Lots of pub paraphernalia - especially Bass and Guinness mirrors.

Good choice beer-wise - with HPA and Butty from Wye Valley, Three Tuns and a very rarely spotted in this part of the world, Bass Premier.

Worth seeking out. Its not easy to get to!
