Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Three Horseshoes

The Three Horseshoes is one of only two remaining pubs in the village of Benson. At present, it is a little out on a limb, as traffic is being diverted from the road it is on.

There are a couple of tiny rooms at the front and I believe there is also a larger dining room at the rear, in addition to a garden with children's play equipment.

Brakspear Bitter is the regular ale. But they also have a guest beer, which was Amwell Springs Rude Not To on my Sunday lunchtime visit.

There is certainly a focus on food here. But drinkers also appear to be welcomed.

Komakino . left this review about The Three Horseshoes

The well-heeled cousin to Benson's 'other' option of The Crown, this has a slant on the food front with a functioning bar eyes front left on entry albeit serving a ho-hum two ale line-up of Sharp's Doom Bar and Brakspear Bitter (to be fair, the Brakspear was only £3.60 a pint). The bar area is red-tiled with a low open fireplace against the left-hand wall. A hidden area is found around to the right up a step and a separate dining area is found up the step and off the left of a corridor leading to a pleasant beer garden. No world-beater by any stretch of the imagination, but the ambience is good and the female bar staff were friendly and attentive, so above average marks on this occasion.
