Ye Olde Bridge Inn is the first pub you come to in Oxton after leaving the main A-road. It's a sizeable Everard's pub with a number of different seating areas.

We arrived to find a couple of groups sitting undercover outdoors and feared that we may also be relegated outside in the cold, as we weren't planning to eat. However, we were shown to a large table in a small room overlooking the car park. This appears to be a private dining room, which was not in use.

3 Everard's ales were on. Tiger & Old Original are the regular ales. But I plumped for the seasonal beer, which was Golden Hop.

A lovely old pub just at the bottom end of the Oxton road bypass at the side of the roundabout. This is a Everards tied house and like most of their pubs is furnished to a. Dry high standard. I cannot comment on th inside as it was a hot day but the bar I entered was very nice with an old pub feel but de rated in a modern style. There were four real ales on the bar all from Everards, three of them from the core range (original, tiger and sun based) as well as three tigers from their seasonal range. My pint of original was superb but expensive at £3.50, that being said this is one of o oh 2 pubs in the village and thus has a bit of a stranglehold on the customers, not that they mind as anyone living around here will not be short of a few quid. overall a lovely roadside pub that was a delight to enjoy a drink In and very much worth the price of a pint if in the village, I have like this pub slightly more than the also very good old green dragon down th road.

How odd that this pub hasn't had a comment for so long and here I am posting the 2nd today! What a warm welcome at the bar after an long slog on foot from Southwell, and thank goodness I arrived before the 3pm closing (on Friday), in time to enjoy Everards Original & Sunchaser in fabulous condition. I believe Tiger was also on, but I didn't spot it. Bonhomie, and good beer.
