The Wheatsheaf was just down the hill from canning circus and was an estate type pub but on the main road.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and it was quite a smart and comfortable pub inside with a smart lounge and decent bar.
Whenever we went in here we usually had a drink of Shipstones bitter which was in real form and a very nice drink the other real ale was Shipstones mild
I thought this was a decent enough pub but it has now sadly closed down,the pub is still standing and i think it is now a chemists shop.
Yet another radford pub to close its doors forever.
