Old Boots left this review about The Ship Inn
Pleasant roadside pub in a solid brick building with two drinking areas plus a rear dining room, but the gaff is pretty much devoted to food. Four cask beers from local breweries and in generally decent nick, the pub is GBG 2022 and Cask Marque listed. Traditional furnishings for the most part and decor in creamy grey wainscoting and blue walls, not the full grey plague. Not that busy when we called in but with a rash of place settings and reserved signs everywhere we were relegated to one of the pod things in the car park, even one of them had a reserved sign ffs. It has over a 100 gins apparently, does B&B and has a monthly quiz, dogs are welcome too and there were quite a few shitehounds inside and out when we called. Garden at the back as well.
