Previous closed by Adnams in 2010 this pub is now in private ownership and was reopened in May 2011.
Not easy to find, the Oddfellows Arms is tucked away down a narrow one way street in Gorleston between the town centre and the Quay.
This 200 year old building was formerly two houses that have been knocked together to make this decent size two room pub. The lounge area has comfy sofas, along the sides and tables and stools by the widows. The fact that it was a former Adnams tied house is still evident by the large Adnams mirror hung underneath one of the book shelves.
There are four ale hand pumps in the bar, which were dispensing, Fullers London Pride, Adnams Old, Mauldons Mole trap and Purity’s Mad Goose. And the pints we tried were well kept.
There is also a patio area out back of the pub, but it was too cold to venture out here when we visited.
