An Elizabethan Coaching Inn est in 1560. The main bar and lounge is on the right as you enter, which had a lot of exposed timber and to the rear was a large room set out for dining. There was a small snug on the left when entering from the main entrance. The pub had a good relaxing atmosphere and I would liked to have stayed longer. Five handpumps, three were in use on our visit. I went for the Wolf Brewery Battle of Britain, the other two were Wolf Granny Wouldn't Like It and Growler Brewery Bitter.
