A very nice country pub that now leans more to diners though that said it is still a pleasant drinking hole. Diners ushered to the left, drinkers to the right. Greene King real ales on.

Party of 12 August 2013 Saturday 5pm Pre-booked. This is a lovely pub with very large car park and a big beer garden out front with about a dozed benches. We were seated inside in a reserved area but it was close to the toilets and the kitchen door and so there was a lot of traffic passing us by and the tables and chairs were a complete mis-match. However, with us being by the kitchen door we were able to attract the attention of the servers quite easily and the starters/mains and deserts were delivered quite quickly. Starters were between £4-£5 and mains went from about £7 up to £14 and deserts were again £4-£5. However, there were lots of deals and combination value meals which could make it far more reasonable for you.
The food was well prepared but the servings were not huge (didn't fill the plates) and I was personally disappointed because they were very miserly with the gravy on my pork sausages which made the mash very dry. At least they made up for it with custard on my desert. Overall it was a good meal but little things stopped it from being perfect.
