Thatched roof pub. Two rooms inside : the bar has parquet wooden flooring, tables set for dining, leather arm chairs, an open fireplace and a wine bottle collection on display covering most of one wall .... oh and, for a pub of this style, the obligatory twigs. The other room is a restaurant which was set up for a wedding reception when we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. There is a nice lawned beer garden with a play area for the kids at the back of the pub.
On handpull there was Moorland Best Bitter, Otter Ale and Greene King IPA. A pleasant enough place if you like contemporary upmarket pubs.
