The Big Western is a very large pub that is situated in the middle of moss side,this old victorian pub looks a bit out of place as there is modern housing around it.
The pub looked a bit daunting from the outside,it still had its old Greenall Whitley signs and the front door was closed,i gained entry to this pub by going to the back and going through an open fire door,once inside there was a central bar and there were rooms off it, the pub was very basic and looked like it had'nt been looked after for years.
There were notices on the walls saying no crash helmets or balaclavers to be worn in this pub,the pub was very quiet on my Friday dinner visit and the few customers that were in here were rastas.
The pub was a Greenalls tied house and there were no real ales on the bar i had a drink of keg Greenalls bitter this was drinkable but nothing special.
I was quite happy to get this pub done and come out in one piece.
