A strange place this, not least because it is painted externally in purple but also because it seemingly is closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday......possibly for private hire but not entirely convinced the market is there. I've always walked by believing that there is no real ale here but there are two handpumps at the far end of the bar, there was still no real ale however, a Pride clip was reversed, the other undressed. A long single room, boarded floor, a few punters sat along the bar on stools. One end has a pool table on a slightly raised area, a dartboard elsewhere had a table beneath. TV screens were off. Standard tables, high versions and sofas by the entrance. Not much to detain me here especially with the ale off but at least it looks like there is the off chance of finding some.
