This is a rather sad looking estate style pub, just a short walk from Queenstown Road station and Battersea Park, now subsumed into a neighbouring supermarket development, resulting in you having to navigate the supermarket car park to reach the pub. The front entrance is currently out of action, so you need to walk round to the right hand side of the building, where large patio style doors lead you into a large main bar with the bare brick servery along what is effectively the front wall. The room is bare boarded throughout with a few slot machines and a pool table near the entrance and a couple of wide U shaped button backed banquettes opposite the bar with additional wicker chairs. A raised area further into the room has wood block flooring, an upright piano and a mix of standard tables and chairs and a few sofas. A couple of large screens were both showing live horse racing and the small handful of customers present on a Saturday afternoon visit were studiously following it. There is a compact, raised front room effectively behind the bar, seemingly empty and possibly a former servery when the pub closed for a while and was in use as a coffee shop instead. The whole pub has been decorated in fairly neutral shades, brightened up only by a few large sports related images (Ali, Moore, etc...). Some outdoor seating is available near the entrance, screened by some greenery to prevent gawking from passing shoppers.
Sadly on my visit the handpulls were sporting two turned pump clips (one for Doom Bar, the other not recognised). Keg options included Guinness and Worthington's, but on a baking hot summer's day I opted for a lager instead, which was served up by a keen, friendly barmaid.
This is one of those pubs that seemingly serves its regular band of locals well, but offers very little for the casual visitor. The lack of ale may be due to high consumption on the Friday evening before my visit, but even so, I can't see me returning.

Modern looking pub, seems to be built at the same time as the flats that surround it. Had 3 taps but only one bar clip, Adnams, which was not on. Had the rugby on television but with subtitles no sound. The leather seats are in need of repair.
