A relatively quiet pub with a central island bar. One side has high tables and stools, while behind is a tabled dining area. A half-separated room is at the back while downstairs is a cellar, which doesn't seem to be open much but is available for hire. Draught beers seem to feature IPA and Tribute with changing, mainly London, guests. Food still reasonable.

A return late lunchtime visit to this one when finding myself with a morning appointment in the close by Old Jewry and primarily due to being attracted by an external chalkboard advertising a “refreshing” pint of a 3.7% abv Twickenham Sundancer, and in fairness it was. There are now two banks of five pumps on two sides of the island bar and along with the Sundancer there was GK IPA and a house badged beer called Fleece’d, which I took to be another one from the GK label. But then these were complemented by Sambrook’s Pumphouse Pale Ale and Southwark London Pale Ale. I also chose to eat here, primarily because we managed to get the comfy seats in the small room at the rear of the pub, and the food menu remains very reasonable considering the area.
All in all a very good experience so happy to up my rating slightly on this one.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Golden Fleece
Busy but efficient Metropolitan (Greene King) pub, with enough staff manning the island bar to ensure that you get served pretty quickly. Well kept beers, with five real ales available from a total of handpumps on this visit: the 'house' Fleece'd, Greene King IPA and London Glory, Wandle and LBF Chelsea Blonde (£4.10). A reasonably relaxed atmosphere too, without the loud music and shouty-types that are a feature of most City establishments.
