Popped into this one after attending a concert at the nearby Barbican and also found it a decent backstreet London corner pub. The one roomed interior is unchanged from the pre pandemic reviews below and had a decent late evening crowd in for our visit.
All four ale pumps were in operation and although these included the mainstream offerings of Sharps Doombar, TT Landlord and Harvey’s Sussex Best, there was an extremely well-kept Twickenham Naked Ladies, so not too shabby. Efficient service levels behind the bar kept the waiting time to minimum and all in all this was a good visit and would not hesitate to search it out when attending the Barbican again.
This pub is also favoured by students and attendees of the nearby Guildhall School of Music, and it is not unlikely that on a late evening, you will be sharing the pub space with various instrument cases, including a couple of double bases, if the experience of my late evening visit was anything to go by.

Corner pub with rather plain dark tiling on the facades and windows with a 1930s look to them, so probably a refit of an older building? The rectangular interior seems rather retro too, with mostly dark wood and paintwork around the servery (although there is a fair amount of window space too, so not exactly oppressive). Dartboard at the far end, and a few small outdoor tables to the side. Fairly mainstream selection of real ales from the four handpumps: Doom Bar, Landlord, Purity Mad Goose and Harvey's (£4.50). A slightly old-fashioned boozer, but none the worse for that.

A street corner boozer with a rather harsh exterior due to the black glazed tiles. The interior has been over decorated and lacks charm.Various shades of blue have been used throughout and furniture close to the bar sparse apart from a line of bar stools along the servery, which just highlights the dark flooring.A rear wood panelled section away from the bar is however crammed with furniture which also obscures the darts throw despite there being an electric score board.Maybe they were expecting a lot of custom, but I was the only punter in on a Saturday lunchtime.
There are 4 handpumps drawing on my trip TT Landlord,London Pride ,Purity Pure Gold and Mad Goose (too warm but drinkable)
It's functional but dull, not a lot of character despite a few original features.
