Large pub which was packed as you would expect after the match. A decent pint of Horizon. Glad to have called in.

This pub dates from at least 1836, the current incarnation dating from 1888, though not opening ‘til Thursdays.
The exterior is curvaceous, with a fine ornate tiled patio to the right. It has recently undergone a £300,000 refurb into Wadworth’s first London venture. There are large, arched windows with Charrington's banded clerestories. The interior is essentially all modern, with a new floor, tiled bar apron, many shades of blue to the walls, with much pastel blue tiling. Lighting is mainly fake Victorian, with some modern trendy lamps. Furniture is largely studded and upholstered velour, all appearing a bit rococo, the interior looking like some froufrou boudoir, but with football TVs. There's not much in the way of décor, other than a few framed trendy mirrors and a trip to the lavs found them to be a bit scummy.
Customers were largely young professional types, many munching pizza, none watching the football on four annoyingly bright overhead TV screens, irritating commentary competing with barely audible background music.
Ales amounted to six reversed pumps, then just Horizon at a very reasonable £2.40 a half and good, served by a perfunctory barman.
Another rubbish Fulham pub, I really wouldn’t bother coming here again. Why would I, when I can get to the Bricklayers over the bridge, just nine short minutes’ walk from here?

Large corner pub with an imposing curved façade, but having reverted its original name again from its previous incarnation as the Larrik. The interior, however, has been mostly opened out and stripped of character over the years, leaving a rather cavernous space. Mix of semi-modern furniture and smart decor. Also has a curious small open courtyard area in one front corner which is a popular spot in good weather. Taken over Wadworth since my last visit three years ago, with a much better real ale offering of 6X, IPA, Horizon (£4.20), Swordfish and Bishops Tipple from five of the six handpumps on this visit. Improved, and rating increased accordingly.
