Formerly The Red Lion, this was boarded up and dormant for five or so years before being resurrected as part of The Junction chain. A chamfered L-shape externally and internally, you enter into the deepest part of the room with the entrance-facing bar against the back wall. There's a semi-divided area to the right (unsure if it was for eating as the lights were out) with the remaining surrounds lounge-like. Two ales - Sharp's Doom Bar and a decent New Wharf Sunset, accompanied by a real cider in Lily's. Dead on my evening visit (I was the only punter on a Monday evening), it's still going, so obviously doesn't have infrequent evenings like this, but still a disappointment nonetheless.

The Red Lion was shut down for a while and boarded up.
But has now re-opened and been rebranded as The Junction Pub and Kitchen and is apparently now a gastro pub with lots of foreign lagers and at least three real ales. Next time I visit the retail park opposite I'll wander in and have a look.
