I can't remember what this pub was like the last time I visited it many years ago, but I am certain it was nothing like this. There is one large room, with polished wood floors, a counter along the back faced with old timber and a general hipsterish feel. There were two cask ales - Wimbledon Copper Leaf and Doom Bar, although luckily the latter was off. The Copper Leaf was not cheap but was well kept.

Modern and busy pub.Cheapish tables and what looked like school chairs. No cask, rubbish keg selection but they have a limited list of craft bottled beers.Brixton -atlantic ipa was a ripper. Why worry about your beer selection if you get this busy.

Two real ales on in here - Redemption Trinity and Truman Swift (£2.25 a half). There are single sheet menus on the tables attached to clipboards. Main courses are 10 - 12 (no unnecessary £s here). The pie of the week (unspecified filling), is £11. Sandwiches are available lunchtime - 6.5 to 8.5 (£6.50 to £8.50 I guess). For a pub with such an impressive corner site frontage, this is a very simple single room pub inside. A few chunky tall tables/tall stools are down the middle of the room; banquettes and cheap Antic-looking chairs elsewhere, combined with some metal (pewter probably) and pine wood coloured tables. The bar counter is similarly pewer topped, with rough, unplaned, planking as its frontage. It's very modern and characterless.

There are sprigs of mint (for mojitos I suppose), jars of nuts and olives, a vase containing lemons, and a large floral display of lilies on the bar counter. It's that sort of place. It wasn't too crowded on Wednesday evening (not surprising with 3.9% Truman's Swift at £2.25 a half) but the accoustics and lack of carpets and soft furnishings still made it seem very noisy. It's not really my kind of place, but I guess others might like these drastically madeover places.
