Nicely done out pub with the bar to the rear. Just one weak real ale - the rest keg rubbish.

A modern, 1960s/70s looking, corner family pub and eatery in the heart of Skeggy. The bar is really mainly glass, with brick foundations, the most interesting feature being the crosses on the coping stones on the roof. It has a nice patio area, from which you can view the traffic.

The place has a few floors, the upstair floors being used for dining, but i believe - but i didn't venture up there. The ground floor is the main hub, you can eat here as well and there is a stage area for live music and a DJ, with a wood dance floor area. The decor has red wallpaper walls, with some yellow mosiac - lots of glass obviously and there is a green ceiling, with carpet flooring other than the dance bit. The wood serving bar is to the right and quite long. The walls are covered with fun 'marine' ephemera; ship's wheel, oars, barrells on the floor and so forth. There are brown comfy leather seats and there are TVs - these were silent with daytime stuff at my visit, but the have Sky Sports. The music was general and at a decent level in the daytime too. The service was fine and a few holiday families were in. I didn't eat, so can't comment on the food.

Beer; no real ale, no keg MILD - had a Guinness, which was fine.

A family place that turns to a club later. It caters for the holiday market and has a beer range to match.
