This is a 'Hardy and Hansons' pub that keeps an excellent pint. I can recommend the 'Old Trip' for lovers of strong ale. It is a cosy pub with very friendly staff and convivial clientelle. There is a separate restaurant but food is also served in the bar. The food is very good with a wide variety to suite all tastes. Meal deals avalable before 6 p.m. There is a sports telly in the bar as well.
