A schlep out of the immediate city centre to the Belgrave flyover brings you to this GBG-listed pub that appears to have been an Everards house (based on the exterior branding) until recently but now seems to be free-of-tie on the beer. This is a wedge-shaped pub in an opened-out single room which narrows to a pleasing apex which is where we took our seats. Five pumps with four ales on with a left-field set of choices, I went for Molly's Chocolate Stout from College Green/Hildens which was in good form. The pub interior is that of a traditional suburban local with carpets, banquette seating copper-topped tables, cheesy fake-beamed ceiling and some gold horses (?) on the sills. The dimpled leaded windows looked nice. Dart board available also. Very busy on our Friday afternoon visit which attests to the popularity of a good pub in an unprepossessing location. Worth the walk out of the city centre.
