A street corner pub in local stone, in the part of Haslingden that is not quite the town centre, but sufficiently distanced from the main road to be not quite out of town. Inside it's been opened out somewhat, but with recognisable remnants of former rooms. I got a friendly greeting from the licensee, and a choice of two real ales from the three hand pumps. I went for Timothy Taylor Landlord as I know that Pendle White Witch is not to my taste. My beer was in good condition, though Landlord is not a beer that I can get enthusiastic about these days. It was quite pleasant in here, apart from the TV set that was burbling some garbage from just above my head.
