The Empire is a late-night venue with live music Friday and Saturday nights. During my visit on a recent Monday evening a pool league match was in progress, I was the only customer not involved. The bar on the back wall supports a standard keg range alongside Birra Moretti and Maltsmiths IPA. I didn’t see any food advertised. Being a music venue there is very limited seating. The plasma screens located throughout were all off and there some 1960s/70s background music playing. This isn’t somewhere I will be revisiting.

This used to be a cinema, so it's now a massive high ceilinged one roomer that has a DJ at weekends. It doesn't open during the week and doesn't get busy until after 11 when it is open. It's a really chavvy lager barn. My mates daughter had her drink spiked here one night. Avoid it.
