Decent Country Inn type pub that is primarily focused on food, so much so that it was difficult to find anywhere to sit for a pint. Quite busy on a saturday afternoon with a mainly mature clientele. McMullen pub and the AK was OK at £3.40 and a branded glass. Many tables outside including hard standing and a large grassed area at rear.

The ceilings have been painted white, which, with the lighting, has made it a bit too bright and clinical for my liking.
It is a McMullens pub serving good food. The AK is kept well and served at about the right temperature. They give "small portion" options for most of the menu, which is good. But after seeing the full sized piece of soggy battered fish, I can only imagine that the small portion is a glorified fish finger.
Not a pub of choice.
