A good 25 minute stroll from Borehamwood 'town'. Disappointed a little having made the effort to find it. Basic foodie place, young often uninterested staff, and only one Macs beer on, which wasn't in great condition. Glad I made it to this new pub for me, but unlikely to again, in fact I'm unlikely to go to Borehamwood again.

Large McMullens roadside pub situated on Rowley lane far enough out of Borhamwood to make you think you are in the countryside.
Used to frequent this one for a lunchtime pint when I worked in ‘Borehamstiff ‘as we used to call it back in the day as it had a big outside beer garden you could usually get a reliable pint of Country.
And in that respect it doesn’t seem to have changed when I popped in for the first time in many years the other day. The internal layout is largely the same as I remember although a bit more of one large open space and it’s definitely undergone one of the McMullen modern makeovers that makes it more like drinking in an airport lounge with Ikea furniture and is more focused on food than it used to be. But the beer garden is unchanged and the County was good.
