A black and white pub in a black and white village.Stand at the door and it is not very difficult to imagine a post coach pulling up and its Dickensian occupants piling out for a fast pint.It is often used as a prop for period fims.Good food and beer it gets plenty of visitor traffic. The village and church is well worth a look so you could excuse your visit as educational.

This is one of my all time favourite pubs, serving excellent well kept real ales and truly first class quality locally sourced food. The pub is a real heritage gem with a great warm old english pub atmosphere. I come from abroad a couple of times a year and always make a beeline for it for a real feel good.
