Located in the historic town of Hungerford, and is situated on the very edge of ancient Hungerford Common, The Downgate is a fine old country inn where you are assurd of a warm welcome at all times.
Good pub grub is available seven days a week (12 - 2.30 & 6 -9pm) with traditional roast lunch on Sundays (bookings advisable)
Good real ales always on tap, (in the Good Beer Guide 2007), The Downgate is a classic country pub open all day every day.Food is cooked to order so in peek periods there could be a slite delay but your patients will be rewarded by fine food.
