Historic building with a traditional black-and-white façade but quite plain inside. Partly opened out layout with the bar to the right on entry and a slightly raised seating area to the left. Separate back bar for the busy periods. Doom Bar and Landlord (£3.10) available from two of the three handpumps, with a reversed Butty Bach clip on the other.

Richard Arwkrite left this review about The Kings Arms

A friendly welcome awaits from Brendan and his wife Noreen who know something about Irish hospitality. The front entrance leads to the lounge bar and locals playing a nonestop game of Dominoes. This room contains two lovely bay windows. Carry on to the rear you will find the public bar which is where the younger pool playing drinkers gather. This pub is favourite with older locals who appreciate a quieter drink. Hobsons Bitter on tap with other keg beers ,lagers and ciders. A simple Sunday roast lunch is available but it is best to ask if food is available before buying your drink. Car park at the rear, children accepted but no dogs. You will be extra welcome if you now anything about race horses and a bookies is nearby for that late bet.
