Steve of N21 left this review about The Crown Tap
Located in Southampton Road, off the Ringwood High Street, The Crown Tap is a small back street local that was formerly an extension to the long gone Georgian Crown Hotel.
I guess formerly two separate small rooms but now one internal U shaped bar around the central serving area which very much has the feel of a locals pub, with dart board at one end and a pool table and large flat screen tele showing sport dominating the other. Then there was a small but pleasant courtyard area outback with plastic wicker seating, but dominated by smokers for our Saturday evening visit.
Two hand pumps on the bar but only one in operation dispensing Ringwood Best, which is pretty much ubiquitous round these parts.
Was being well utilised by locals when we visited and I got the impression that its location doesn’t attract a lot of passing trade and everyone knows everyone else who comes here. May it long continue to offer a service to the good punters of Ringwood, but can’t really recommend it over the Inn on the Furlong for example if you are in town.
