Tonight I enjoyed a pleasant meal at an Italian restaurant with my wife in Fareham. I decided to follow on from the meal by sharing a bottle of red wine at the Red Lion. It had been six years since my last visit when I stayed as a guest at the hotel. I was very impressed with the changes made to the décor and atmosphere and we enjoyed our drink. As the bell for last orders rang we decided to share another bottle before taking a taxi back to Gosport.
As I ordered a second bottle the bar staff entered into some gentle banter regarding the drinking of it within the required time and offered us help drinking it should it be needed. All this banter was given with good humour and received as s
