Requested be closed with reason - Other: Closed April 2023, according to The Oldham Times. 'Unsustainable costs' were blamed.

Through the left hand entrance of the Coach & Horses is a public bar that houses a pool table and dartboard as well as minimal seating for watching live sport on the television screen. Through the right hand entrance is a larger open plan lounge with three large banquette seating areas and another television. Live music and karaoke evenings are regularly held here and the Halloween decorations were up at least three weeks before the event. They don’t do hot food so there was no sign of a little Christmas tree! The bar counter on the rear wall supports a standard keg range. I found the service to be friendly and the pub comfortable, although the uninteresting draught selection will turn some off. Note that the doors don’t open until 13:00 (12:00 Fri and Sat), but they close at midnight every night.

A very smart two roomed pub. A big lounge to the right and a much smaller taproom to the left with a pool table, dartboard and jukebox. Very busy on my Friday visit at 16:30 with mainly more mature couples and singles. 3 big TV screens showing At The Races. It's all very nicely done, but sadly there's no real ale anymore. According to the barstaff the handpump was removed last Summer by the owner. I had to settle for a half of fizz, but I still enjoyed my visit here. Probably the best pub around this part of town.

A proper local pub, offering all traditional pub fayre and guest beers also. Hosts, Paul and Lesley are welcoming, friendly and always remember what I'm drinking! Meat raffle, darts, crib, pool and dominoes. All football a huge range of old and young clientle and even Casper, the pub dog! Very highly recommended.
