Pub is as described by Soupy below. We called in and I had a pint of the only real stuff available which was Gloucester Gold. It's so small you have to talk with the people around you even if it's only to apolgise for trying to get your handkerchief out of your pocket when 3 people have to move to let you. For some reason, very loud music was being broadcast to the outside alley, but was set at a sensible volume inside. Lots of interesting bric-a-brac around the pub, but I didn't really take to it at all. We had a swifty and left. Won't be calling in again any time soon either.

This is a teraaced pub, with a few benches out front and a patio at the back. It dates to the early 18th century at least, with a lower level in white brick and upper levels, in white plaster, that jetty out. They have large sash windows. The pub once hosted music nights, but recently saw some of the internal space converted to an antiques shop and living space (2012). The interior has a couple of rooms now, both small. A side area, in green and white, has comfy chairs, sofas, books and a few prints on the walls. The main room, with an unswung cat, is in white and gold artex, with white and beam ceiling, with wood floor. It has a few tables, some sofas and great black painted brick fireplace. eclectic nonsense, from banjos to Irish ornaments are dotted about, with prints and old photos on the walls. The TV was silent, the mixed music was quiet. The service was fine and a couple of locals were in. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Gloucester Brewery's Gold - which was a bit warm and flat. An interesting building and worth a half, but not much more - to stay would be, as the Captain says, shurely shome mishtake!
