Sorry you were unhappy with your wife's meal. I am a bit confused as to exactly what your wife ordered as our chicken salads are £6.50 and we do not offer one with balsamic on it.

A tale of 2 meals this. I chose the toad in the hole with mashed potatos and gravy at 6.95. Not a bad price for darn sarf and it was very good and plenty of it.
My wife on the other hand ordered some fancily-named chicken salad at 9.75. This turned out to be a plate of lettuce with no more then 3 ozs of chicken strips in balsamic vinegar.
We were also advised to book on ringing up as it would be packed out. We were the only eaters in the pub when we arrived!!
Good service from a very pleasant barmaid and nice surroundings though.
