Probably pint of the evening here - an excellent 6x.

Its another solid looking pub on the town square - where there is little to choose between them.

Lovely views through the lead windows.

A smart modern bar with an eclectic mixture of modern and rescued furniture - high stools around the bar itself, and lower tables, chairs and the odd cushion-strewn bench elsewhere. Four hand pumps but only two beers on, both from Wadsworth's: Henry's IPA and Malt & Hops (if you can't think of an original name why not just call it Bitter?).

An old bed-head, dated 1696, had pride of place on one wall, slightly hidden from general view in a secluded nook, while a variety of framed pictures adorned the others.

The beer I had was in good condition and was very reasonably priced for a tourist haunt at £2.60 a pint. I could just about ignore the background music thanks to a very loud conversation taking place in Spanish at a nearby table.

When i first went in this pub it was a Free house and it is now a Wadworth tied house.
This pub is now more of a younger persons pub it has been opened out into one room and it was'nt really the type of pub i like to drink in but at least there were a couple of Wadworths beers on the bar i had a drink of Henrys IPA and this was a decent drink the other beer was Wadworth 6X.
The beer was decent but the pub was a bit of a let down.
