The most pubby of Bourton's options but seems to be trying to sate all camps - there was plenty of seating in the tentacle-like bar area, a separate dining area was located towards the back left of the bar, a large TV showed a Premier League match and an ale line-up which was the most extensive in the village and included CW Eagle, CW Courage Directors, CW Bombardier Glorious English, Joule's Pale Ale and Robinson's Trooper Red N' Black Porter. Unfortunately, a lack of staff meant potential customers were kept waiting far too long to order drinks, so marks deducted accordingly.

Steve C left this review about Duke Of Wellington Inn

My family and I stayed in the bed and breakfast at the Duke of Wellington on Saturday night a couple of weeks ago. The price of the room was £80 for the night and the management had no problem with us putting an extra bed in the room so that my two young kids had somewhere to sleep. It was very cramped, but we were informed on the phone that this would be the case. The breakfast in the morning was very good and I thought that the stay was good value for money in comparison to prices of other accommodation in the area. There is parking at the rear for the use of guests.
The pub itself has standard opening hours and traditional pub food is available daily from midday until 21:00 and the main meals are priced around £9. The back of the pub is primarily used for dining and there is a serving area on the rear wall that is probably used for the Sunday carvery. The rear of the pub is served by the bar, but the main bar area is at the front of the pub where there are also a few different seating areas. There is a plasma screen on the wall that was off and I saw no signs of Sky Sports. I was surprised that the Wimbledon tennis wasn’t being shown, maybe nobody at the bar wanted to watch it. There is an advertised quiz that takes place on Sundays from 20:30.
The bar is stocked with standard draught products and supports five hand pumps. Well’s Bombardier, Eagle IPA and Directors are the regular ales and the two guests during my visit were Waggle Dance and Stroud Brewery’s Organic Ale.
Out the back next to the aforementioned parking is a large raised decked area full of picnic tables. This area is overhung by weeping willows and is next to a fast flowing part of the river Windrush.

I found the staff and woman who seemed to be in charge to be very friendly and I would recommend this place to others who are looking for a B&B. However, I do not plan to visit this pub again just for a beer as I found little atmosphere. I would give this place a rating of 7.5 for the accommodation, but the pub gets a 6.
