Was quite busy on the Sunday I visited with lunchtime diners and drinkers. Beers on offer were Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and a guest ale which was very acceptable. The food was given the thumbs up by all of the party I was with. The only downside is that the dining area and bar are smoking areas - this will change of course in July 2007 when the smoking ban come in force.

There's a pleasant feel about this place, lots of tables, good value food, the shape, size & decor all seem right. But the beer emanates from the ubiquitous Greene King (even the Olde Trip was from Hardys & Hansons a sub of GK and didn't last long ... like the brewery?) Worth popping in.
