Very nice traditional village pub in a very nice Essex village.Main bar with a side room with a serving hatch.Serves GK IPA and usually a beer from the local Saffron brewery which is just down the road at Henham with the latter being very good.Very friendly landlord who informed me that the pub is up for sale.A golden opportunity for anyone who wants to buy a very nice village pub.

This pub serves fantastic food!! The staff are friendly and helpful - as are the owners - and the menu is extensive. They are always willing to change something a bit for you...very useful indeed. Atmosphere is great too, with the locals being veryfriendly and chatty. Great for a lovely, lazy lunch...perfect sunday roast or an evening out with your friends. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough.. :-)
