The fact that this gastro pub has had a prominent listing in "The Good Pub Guide" and the "Good Beer Guide" every year since 2002 speaks for itself. None of the other pubs in the area can claim that distinction.

This is a great little one bar pub.The emphasis is on food but at the same time they serve a very good selection of six real ales and the Brewers Gold I had was perfect.I am not a great lover of foody pubs but this one seems to marry beer and food to perfection.I am a great believer that if the beer tastes good then so will the food.Both seem to be the case here.
