Lovely pub- owners friendly, and food lovely, but still a regkular country public house like the 564 others within a 100 mile radius!
Reviews like Elisabeth Mcgraw's "thank goodness it will now be a proper village pub" rather than a public house for gay clientele, are really quite laughable. Straigh pub number 354b in Essex? How many straight pubs do you need? Laughable.

went to recent opening of this
pub, great atmosphere great
selection of beers. new owners
very friendly, and excellent
music, will certainly be going back.

AT THE MOMENT IT IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING FULLY REFURBISHED AND HAVE I HAVE FROM THE HORSES MOUTH THAT IT WILL REOPEN EARLY DECEMBER. THIS WAS BEING USED AS A SOCIAL CLUB FOR 15 YEARS BUT THANK GOODNESS IT WILL NOW BE A PROPER VILLAGE PUB SELLING REAL ALE AND GOOD FOOD
