We have just spent a week-end at The Swan to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday, and it was one of the best times we have had for a long time, the staff treated us like royalty and the food was excellent with Maldon Gold ale before and after, there were 5 other parties on the go at the same time and the pub itself was very busy butservice was next to none,the dinner on the Saturday was selected from a varied menu, we had to reserve a table for the Sunday lunch(choice of starters followed by lamb,beef,chicken or a vegetarian dish with 3 veg and yorkshire pudding, and several puddings to choose from) and the portions were rather large,we managed to eat it all. Now to real nitty gritty of this week-end the ale Maldon Gold PERFECTION

Busy town centre pub which can get a bit smokey.Maldon Gold always in tip top condition.If they had Brewers Gold would give it 4!

A very busy pub with a good selection of 'real ales' with Maldon Gold as my favourite. Worth a visit.
