as this site doesnt seem to be upto date, as reccomendation has not been made for a while, i would like to say that the pub undertook a large re-firb in february 2007 and is now a lovely looking venue! also we have had a few changes of management and the new landlord and landlady are terrific.
Please go and see for yourselves and we now have a nice selection of real ales thanks!!!!!!

Not a very good pub if you like real ale.The whole pub was very depressing.

This is an awful place, do not drink there, i visited it on sat 12th Nov 2005 and was appalled by the landlady, They had an excellent band on and all was well until she got up and shouted a mouthful at the band, many drinkers and her bar staff. honestly she was rude and drunk. Do not drink here unless you have to. Go to the sportsman instead x
