You are always assured of a friendly welcome from "Silent Mike"at this pub.There is usually a beer for all tastes served by very friendly female bar staff who all seem to know about the beers.A must to visit

Great news, the landlord from the Queens Head down the road has taken over here and things have improved tremendously. There were 6 real ales, 3 on pump and 3 on gravity all in superb condition. Silent Mike makes you feel welcome the moment you step through the door and looks after you. There are plans to improve and renovate the place and with the beer garden and a superb kitchen serving great food this is probably the best local pub in Chelmsford if you like great beer and a nice atmosphere. Don't miss out!
