This pub sounds largely unchanged from the previous two reviews but it is now part of the Stonegate pub company arm of M&B and the interior decor was reminiscent of, well every other Stonegate pub. But we visited here to utilise the good sized paved beer garden at the side of the pub as mentioned below.
Five handpumps on the bar and surprised to find all five in operation with three from Longman (Best Bitter, Long Blonde and America Pale Ale) and then the usual stable Doombar and London Pride, and couldn’t fault the Pale Ale
Table service only at the moment with Covid regulations enforced and they request that you order food and drinks through the pub app. A reasonable request except for the fact that the real ales are not on the app so you have to go up the bar anyway and this annoyingly (but completely necessary) involves following the one way system out of the pub garden and back in through the front door.
On the food front it’s the usual pub chain menu of mainly deep fried delights and several people were tucking into the usual pub classics. We only had a couple of puddings as my other half fancied the Bread and Butter Pudding. We are still wondering what it actually was, but it certainly was unlike any Bread and Butter pudding I’ve experienced.
I would certainly return for a beer but will be giving anything written on the menu a big swerve next time.

The Old Plough has a U-shaped front bar area with more seating areas the branch off to the rear giving a very cosy feel. The bar supports five hand pumps that were drawing Ubu, Harveys Best, Spitfire, EPA and another that I couldn’t quite make out past the locals sitting at the bar. I opted for a Guinness from the draught selection and it was well served by a polite barmaid. Cheaply priced food is served until 21:00, but I didn’t spot anyone eating on Monday afternoon, but to be fair it was quiet. No under eighteens are permitted after 19:00 and under fours are not permitted at all. There is a plasma screen that was turned off during my visit and I saw no advertisements for Sky Sports, but there was some background music playing softly. Outside there is a good sized paved beer garden at the side of the pub that has plenty of seating.

I liked it in here and would have no problem returning.

Large multi-roomed pub selling up to 4 real ales with the "landlord" being in top form. Also does good value food. Nice outside seating area.3 minutes from the railway station. (don't try and do it in 2 minutes like i did and miss the train!!)
