Steve C left this review about The Sussex Cricketer

The Sussex Cricketer is a large Ember Inns pub that places a lot of emphasis on dining. From what I could see the menu consists of the usual pub fayre that is available daily from noon until 22:00 and the mains were priced between £7 and £11. The bar is stocked with premium and standard draught products and I counted six hand pumps that were drawing Harvey’s Best, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, Harviestoun’s Bitter and Twisted, Wooden Hand Brewery’s Pirate’s Gold and World Top Brewery’s Dawn O’Time (x2). My visit was just before 23:00 last night (Tuesday) and there was still a decent sized crowd in attendance. There was some very low background music playing and I didn’t spot any televisions. I saw an advertisement for the quiz nights that are held on Sunday and Tuesday evenings and there is a late licence until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The service was very friendly and I feel that this pub is worthy of a revisit.
