Like many pubs in the area the Ashburnham Arms was very quiet last Saturday evening as only three locals were sitting at the bar and I think that one of these was an off duty barmaid. The woman working behind the bar was extremely friendly and despite the lack bums on seats there was still a friendly atmosphere. The usual draught suspects are available from the bar and the two hand pumps were drawing London Glory and Adnams. To the right of the bar is a dartboard and in the room to the left is a pool table and bar billiards table. None of these were being used though as the other attendees were glued to the national lottery quiz and draw on the TV. There is a jukebox that was either off or needed some money putting into it and there is bingo advertised for Friday nights. A quiz was advertised for the 8th October so it is not a regular occurrence.

I’d use this pub if I lived locally.
