Recommended to us by the landlord of the Newhall as a club that will happily admit anyone and keeps a decent pint. Not easy to locate, the obvious entrance by the road is not accessible and Googlemap gets in a tizz. What you need to do is go to the road down the side of Asda and shoogle in left. There was indeed a decent cask - Woodfordes Bure Gold (NBSS 3) - served by a friendly if somewhat mute barmaid. A bit gloomy, they needed to turn the lights up a bit. Décor fairly bland, but tidy enough. Music TV playing in the background. Grub is offered and it looked good value. Darts and pool available as well as an impressive array of clubland music tribute acts being billed for the forthcoming year. Useful to know it exists and might well make the GBG at some point.
